Stumbling out of the Gates

Wow, I had absolutely no idea how incredibly dificult it would be to start a new business in the middle of Tax Season. I don't know why I thought it would be easy. I'm usually swamped for tax season anyway. I am very used to working 9 or 10 hr days with only a 10-15 min break, but this is ridiculous. Since my return on Jan 12th I have been working 14-16 hour days. I have on occasion managed to escape as early as 9:30pm, only to find the work waiting for me at 8am. Huicho and the boys took me to San Francisco for our anniversary weekend feb 24th. Had a blast. As soon as we were out of ventura county I felt my shoulders relax and that hard knot in my upper back faded.

We stayed very close to Fisherman's wharf. Did a lot of walking around and sight seeing. Javi wanted to tour Alcatraz Island, so we booked a self guided tour at a very reasonable rate. When we actually got to the Island, fate reigned down upon us! There was a gentleman who was filming a discovery channel documentary of Alcatraz and invited a few tourist to tag along. Javi and I went along for the 45 min tour and heard interesting facts about escapees, movies, and other trivia about the currents in the Bay. It was very educational and thought provoking. From the back of the prison close to the guard towers, the view was incredible. San Francisco is one lumpy hill of buildings and homes. After the mini Discovery Channel tour Javi & I took the prerecorded guide tour. Wow, just the size of the cells is enough to make you claustrophobic.
